These incredible miniature foods come from the mind and hands of Tel Aviv artist Shay Aaron. He makes each of these delicious looking 1:12 scale food pieces from scratch and as you can see, they are very realistic.
Mainly made using polymer clay, all the items he creates are one twelfth their actual size. They fit on a fingertip and are usually no larger than a penny! He also uses wood, glass, aluminum, resin, metal, and ceramic for the sculptures.
“I use lots of unconventional tools in my work, from pasta machines to food processors. I also use rocks and boards that create interesting textures, as well as rolling pins and toothbrushes.” Shay told nojoeschmo.com in a recent bio of his work.
