Joke Marketing is a real thing
Torani’s April Fool’s joke for a new product, their Chicken n’ Waffle Syrup, may turn into reality. They say that if you like, tweet, and share enough about it, they will actually make the stuff. It was if they were surprised that people would be interested, and thought, hey, maybe we should make this product for real… I call bull shit.
I think this was a well thought out marketing strategy. The story is not unlike what happened with Bacon Lube last year, although I think Bacon Lube’s story may actually be true.
