It has been pretty quiet around FoodOddity these last few weeks, and for good reason… FoodOddity is getting a little sister! Chew News came about because of three reasons. I have always loved food, wine, and writing. I figured the whole world needed yet another food blog, so I created this site, foododdity.com, which focuses on the good, bad, odd and fresh things in food culture. As the site began to gain some followers, and I got into the routine of writing, I found I had a lot more to say than simply talking about cubed beer bottles or bacon lube. I began to stray from the main purpose, and started talking about issues that mattered to me, such as GMOs and killer recipes. Although my readership was contentious enough (love you guys) this was not the proper forum, and it was hard to justify having a batter recipe next to deep fried Kool-Aid…
The second reason was that besides writing about food, I also liked reading about food. I would have a few sites that I had on my rss reader, but it was always difficult to follow many of them and find out the trending and popular articles and topics around the web. Chew News brings together top news sites and social networks such as twitter, facebook and pinterest to give you an overview of whats happening on the social side of the culinary world.
Chew News will also soon be adding a store, where you can get some cool kitchen gadgets and other unique foodie stuff.
