10 weird and unbelievable DIY BBQs for Summer
Summer is here and it be time to start grilling! My favorite way to cook, well, almost anything, is on a BBQ. There’s nothing like a smokey char added to vegetables, fruit, fish, burgers… and of course the king of the grill… the steak. Here are ten really cool examples of what happens when food, danger, and creativity mix.
BONUS!!! At the end of the post, there is a tutorial by my culinary hero Alton Brown on how to make a Ceramic smoker out of a flower pot for under $50!
1. The Baby stroller BBQ
This baby is portable, and is sure to cause some women to have heat attacks when they arrive at your house for your family BBQ this summer.

2. The pirate ship BBQ
This by far is the best fire pit/ grill I have ever seen. Cook in style and pretend your a pirate at the same time. Use your hook hand to flip the meat! Time to Baaaarrr-BQ matey .

3. The Death Star BBQ/ Fire Pit
For Star Wars fans. Best part is- as you heat the grill you can say “The Death Star is nearly operational.”

4. Hot Wheels
Simply bad ass.

5. Trailer hitch detachable BBQ
Sure, there may be some dangers involved in giving you ideas on how to rain fire on the cars behind you. Sure, this could swing out and create a flaming bomb that could kill or main. This is however, one REALLY cool idea. As you can see, the BBQ sits on heavy duty swivels that swing out when your ready for your tailgate party. USE WITH CAUTION KIDS.

6. The Corvette of BBQs
Do you have the back end of a corvette laying around your house? Of course you do! Simply add a grill and you’re in business. NOTE: Please remove any gas from the gas tank before lighting…

Don’t have a Corvette? How about a Volkswagen Beetle?

7. Lawn chair BBQ
From EpicFail.com we have a very redneck BBQ sure to add extra carcinogens from the industrial paint these are coated with. Mmmm… poison.

8. Shopping cart BBQ
Here’s something else you can pick up at the grocery store… You can create some pretty interesting BBQs out of shopping carts. Just remember, the money you put in to get the cart doesn’t mean you bought it! Stealing is a crime in most societies :)

9. The balcony BBQ
Only have a small balcony but love to grill? You could try the balcony BBQ from Henrik Drecker. This will definitely save you space and potentially rain flaming coals down on the pesky neighbours below.

10. Homemade ceramic pot smoker
This can actually be made at home and is not overly difficult to do. You will need a few things but really, it should only cost you around $50!!! Below is a video from Good Eats on how to make it.
